Happy Monday from Monday! I hope you're all making it the best day you can for yourself! :bunhdheart:
I think it's good to remember on Mondays that you usually can improve most bad days at least a little? And I hope that you can give yourself a break or comfort or whatever you need on a bad day! :bunhdcomfy:
And today's tea is undecided! We're really tired so maybe we make the Korean milk tea for an extra bit of caffeine? What are you brewing up? :blobfoxflooftea:
Mrs Flannestad requested some green tea, so got out the plunger pot to make a larger batch. Trying to remember what timing/ratio I used to use with this thing. 7g in 500ml 190F/90C for 2 mins seemed pretty good. Then second steep for 3 mins.(White2Tea's Emerald Buds green Tea.)
Funnily, tangerine peel Shou Puerh teas have been "co fermented" for decades. If this "co ferment" coffee costs $20 a cup, a $50 200g cake of Puerh seems like a deal.
2019 Arbor White from White2Tea is a sun dried Yunnan white tea made from large leaf varietals. Similar to Yunnan moonlight white tea, but unlike Yue Guang Bai, made from spring material intended for puerh production and sun dried, rather than shade dried. Well on its way to being aged white tea, good body in the soup, slight medicinal character in later steeps, and calming energy.
Happy Friday! I hope it's a great day whether you're starting or ending your week! :bunhdheart:
Today I hope you can do something lovely for the future you! I really love doing nice things that'll help my future self on Fridays so Mondays are more awesome! Like today shall be Laundry Day! :bunhdcomfy:
And today's tea is milk tea because that was the easiest to make! It's so sunny out that tomorrow may have to be a cold brew though! What are you brewing up? :blobfoxflooftea:
2021 JingMai MiYun raw puerh. Farmer Leaf's "Daily Drinker" JingMai blend from younger eco farmed trees is a treat that will probably out live me before it reaches it's peak drinkability. So, there is no time like today.
