WAIT WAIT WAIT there's a new #Zelda#game announced and you will ACTUALLY be playing as Zelda for the FIRST TIME.... EVER??? OH MY GOD
I couldn't be bothered to watch the #NintendoDirect then randomly just saw a Zelda game trailer on my #YouTube timeline - thought it was cool at first that they're releasing a new original Zelda game (instead of Yet Another Remake) THEN when I saw Link dropping off the world map and Zelda taking the helm I swear to god my jaw just dropped.
They didn't even design the game lazily by essentially making the combat and mechanics exactly the same as you'd normally play Link (i.e. with sword and shield, etc.) but instead made up entirely new mechanics unique to Zelda :blobfoxcryreach:

I haven't really thought about this, since I started gaming with 6 and never had to onboard anybody.
That's changed now with my two kids. The older one is already interested in games. But I see that he's struggling with the controls. Modern gamepads have countless buttons, two analog sticks and a d-pad. 😬 I started out with a GameBoy, where it was immediately obvious which buttons you had to press. 1/
I picked up Little Kitty, Big City over the weekend. It’s a cozy, low stakes exploration game. I had fun, but it was probably way too short for full price. It does have plenty of sidequest stuff I haven’t finished, but the core game takes maybe 4-8 hours to complete.
I would say it’ll be worth it when it goes on sale for $10 or less.
It's official. I'm never buying anything that's made by Nintendo ever again. They've been making it VERY clear that they do NOT like gamers and don't give a single fuck what you think about that....
Which, in the days of NES, SNES, and N64 made sense. Games weren't being sold as pure software. They were software loaded into specific hardware cartridges with the console acting as the main system. Break open any cart from the era and you'll find a circuit board.
Now a days, when it's all software, it's less reasonable.
Jeze here. I'm a #horror aficionado with it being my favorite form of entertainment both in film and literature. I enjoy writing and reading particularly short stories with #StephenKing being my favorite. Currently been playing with an idea I've had in my head for ages for a story called "Eternity."
As for music I'm into rock, metal, and punk with two of my favorite bands being Alkaline Trio and Slipknot. They both offer those goosebump inducing hooks. I'm also a guitarist but never had a home in a band of my own.
I'm a gamer at heart with a penchant for #Nintendo and #retrogaming. I grew up with Nintendo franchises, and they hold a special place in my memory. #DOS era gaming for PC being my favorite time period with titles like #DooM and #Duke3D. Later on #EverQuest would be my escape from reality and living my dark elvish vampire dreams. I knew far too much dark elvish to be considered a healthy person.
I believe #birds to be precious and should be protected at all costs. They are perfection. They are the only dinosaurs to rise from the ashes of the Chicxulub asteroid which is pretty metal if you ask me. They were here first and the Earth is their planet. Us mammals have no right to pillage their ecosystems the way we do.
