does lemmy world automod removing a post from Ani social affect only lemmy world?

I posted a picture in thiccmoe. I later got a message that it was removed NSFW. That's fair.

I asked the mod of that community and they didn't do anything and don't know what I'm talking about. Also, if I go to that community, it's still there.

I went back to my messages and noticed it's from automod at lemmy world, not Ani social. The community is on Ani social.

How does that work? Does that mean it's only removed for lemmy world users since the automod is from lemmy world? Does it affect anything on Ani social?

Hello,

the post was removed by a Lemmy.World admin.

Since the post is not in a Lemmy.World community and your user is not on Lemmy.World either, this removal is only affecting Lemmy.World users.

Our AutoMod is only notifying you about this happening, but the wording should be improved to make it more clear what happened.

Lemmeenym ,

If the removal reason is that it wasn't marked NSFW do you restore the post if it is edited to be correctly flagged and the poster asks for it to be restored?

if the missing NSFW mark is the only reason for removal we're generally open to restore content after that has been fixed.

we will not actively search out content that has been removed and then was updated to include the nsfw mark, but this would be doable on request.

Only people at .world won't see it. You can look at a post from different instance by pasting the URL into the search field of that instance (and if the instance does not have that post yet because of no subscribers or slow federation then you might have to wait a bit and try again).

I can still see it from the instance I'm on, so I assume so.
