My players tonight discovered the wonders of strategy and planning in our first Swords and Wizardry session. They took some hirelings out into the woods north of Hommlet and took out Brant the Pillager, a wanted bandit leader and his gang. No casualties even though the Paladin has 1 HP.
They claimed the reward and discovered that the bandits were communicating with someone in Nulb who acts as liaison for a mysterious Master. So much fun.
