The fact that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’s wife was one of the organizers of Donald Trump’s armed insurrection should be mentioned every time SCOTUS is in the news, IMHO.

The fact that three current Supremes were involved in stealing Al Gore's election tells us a lot about how you get nominated for the court by a Republican president.

It was a rally which became violent by police agent provocateurs. There is ample video evidence, and multiple police agencies involved (DC Met, FBI) admitted that they had undercover agents who were shouting "to the Capitol, let's get in". Capitol police then opened the magnetic doors from within and ushered the protesters in to entrap them into committing a felony.
Besides, if Trump really had planned a coup, he would have sent special forces with orders to arrest Pelosi, McConnell, Milley and whoever, and then lock down Congress and Senate.
