Just want to make sure I’m understanding, so we’re assuming the Court will reject Trump’s “lol you can’t prosecute me for anything” BS, but continuing stall the election interference case?
Also am I missing something between the “complete immunity” claim and the election interference case, or is that argument made for that case? Can’t keep track of all the BS claims he’s making…
@timecraft Sounds like they don't want blanket immunity, but will delay the trial because of other narrower immunity claims that will be sent back for more court actions.
@GottaLaff (NFL, just in case 😅) well, hopefully we get a ruling for “no blanket immunity.” As it’s been said many, many times, complete blanket immunity would go completely against the rule of law and really set us on our way towards the destruction of the democratic republic we have and on to the establishment of a fascist dictatorship…
@GottaLaff I never expected the judiciary to save us, especially this compromised SCOTUS.
There are too many voters who are not seeing/hearing factual information and are falling prey to propaganda. A corrupt judiciary, news media, and election processes funded by oligarchs is exactly how democracy fails.
I still hope for November, but if we win, we must demand laws be enacted to level the playing field and stem the flow of propaganda/disinformation.
@GottaLaff We should not be dependent upon events like this SCOTUS hearing to save us, (which it will not anyway). It's time for our thought leaders to draw up a constitutional amendment for the executive branch codifying all those 'customary' presidential behaviors that Trump just blew right through. #executiveBranch
