Someone posted that they love Box Turtles but now I can't find their post!

Anyway, this August 2017 Eastern Box Turtle photo is for you, unknown box turtle lover.


A turtle in some low vegetation. The turtle's shell is a rich pattern of pale orange, brown, and black. The turtle's head is extended and is mostly black with a few orange flecks. The ground seems wet and a bit muddy. The vegetation around the turtle seems to be a mixture of species. Some clover is in the lower left section of the picture. The other vegetation has broad leaves and comes in a variety of shades of green.
