@sollat Most elements exist in oxidation states other than zero, but most also can be pretty stable as elements. We rarely find iron, but iron is perfectly stable for thousands of years, probably millions if it’s buried dry.
Lithium reacts rapidly in air, maybe not quite as fast as sodium, but a fire is very likely.
