I understand that #Arizona might actually put a referendum on their November ballots to enshrine #AbortionRights into their state #Constitution. But I don't know that this is the best answer.
While that would be a win for women in protecting their rights today, it would also allow too many voters to believe they can vote for such an Amendment while also "safely" voting Republican, both up and down ballot.
For most states, this would not be a concern. But Arizona is a major #SwingState and will determine the #WhiteHouse.
Too many voters don't understand that the goal of ALL #Republican politicians will be to revoke any #AbortionRights Amendment they might pass, and put them back to the 1860s-- yet again. And on so many other topics, if they allow the GOP to gain a foothold in any office at this point, that is a genuine danger to #democracy, but especially if they give TFG the White House.
