@lowqualityfacts I would prefer to hand the reins over to the mustelids. I'd be too busy making giant sparkly anime eyes at the adorableness to notice any oppression, and I likely wouldn't care even if I did notice, because OMGSQUEEEE.

I think they tried.

It was in 2020, during the pandemic lockdowns. Salamanders United and the Grand Tunnel Party met on neutral turf to discuss forming a Tiny But Mighty party.

Discussions were on track until the matter of a party headquarters came up. The salamanders wanted it under a rock; the hamsters wanted a tunnel, natch. The debate soon became heated, with factions blocking each other's procedural motions.

Then, in the commotion, a heron swallowed the quorum.
