Tooters has suspended accounts that would spam fedi block. Then realized the hashtag is mostly petty bullshit already so we refederated those accounts. In my opinion it is a stupid reason to recommend defederating entire instances instead of accounts.
If fedi block was used as a weapon against you in the past you would not see it as a useful tool. Let someone lie or take things you said out of context and then start a campaign to cancel you from fedi. You would see it as harmful not helpful.
