Tooters has suspended accounts that would spam fedi block. Then realized the hashtag is mostly petty bullshit already so we refederated those accounts. In my opinion it is a stupid reason to recommend defederating entire instances instead of accounts.

If fedi block was used as a weapon against you in the past you would not see it as a useful tool. Let someone lie or take things you said out of context and then start a campaign to cancel you from fedi. You would see it as harmful not helpful.

Does Threads even have content warnings as a feature? :neocat_confused: Seems pretty important if you are going to be a fedi instance.

@adra maybe or maybe not. If I was moderating an instance federated with Threads it would be hard to blame the people not using them if it’s not a feature though.

@hrefna our limit for Tooters will be whenever the time spent moderating becomes too much for us both to handle. We could keep growing by having more moderators when that happens but I like it being just the two of us.

@hrefna oh wow wtf? All of these different tools expect me to fill my bio with nobot nobridge nothis nothat. So stupid. We have threads suspended so I guess I don’t have to worry about this one. You’re right that is super ironic. Reminds me of the websites you could use to tell who unfollowed you on Twitter but no way to block it.

She needs to stop acting like she represents the way all cis women feel. This type of speech is very harmful and further divides cis and trans women when we need to be coming closer together. :trans_empathy:

The first orders a drink and sighs. "Just spent all day dealing with a user who thinks their instance is the only true fediverse experience."

The second admin nods sympathetically. "Tell me about it. I had to defederate an entire instance because someone posted a cat meme on a dog-themed server."

The first admin raises an eyebrow. "Seriously?"
