When I was at school I had an Atari ST. I never let anyone see it and told everyone I had an Amiga. When I left school I sold the fuckin thing and got a Sega. I backed the wrong horse twice.
@fesshole The Amiga won that race but not by much and the ST had some great strengths, like the MIDI. And Sega were going great guns until the Mega CD. There wasn't much to choose between the Mega Drive and SNES IMO. I never regretted going Sega at that time
I went the polar opposite and felt I'd got the raw end of the deal. Mainly because the Atari guys swore by the music making capability. Also the megadrive games seemed grittier somehow. More arcade-y.
