Look at all those cute new baby sporophytes coming in! And a few old stragglers, long and thin and orange and also beautiful.

Clumps of thick green springy moss. On the clump nearest to us are a lot of thin long orange sporophytes sticking out almost horizontally. On the other clumps are tiny bright green spots that, if you zoom in, are new sporophytes growing. There are some scattered pine needles on top and a little bit of cedar debris, showing the very small scale
