“The best camera is the one you have with you.” I was prowling in the yard for an elusive Stellar's Jay, when I noticed a big ol' bumblely bug harvesting pollen on the Aeonium. So I pointed my 10-kilo birding lens at the plant from 5 meters away and took a few quick shots. Of course by the time I was back with my light, nimble, and far sharper macro lens, the bumbley bug was nowhere to be seen.

(No, my birding lens doesn't really weigh 10kg. Just felt like it today.)
