I"n December 2021, writer Thomas Harding interviewed Brigitte Höss, daughter of Rudolf Höss, SS commandant of the death camp at Auschwitz. Harding's Jewish great-uncle arrested Höss when WWII ended. Höss was hanged for his crimes against humanity.
Harding pressed Brigitte to condemn what her father did, overseeing a death camp in which countless numbers (there's no full documentation) of people were tortured and systematically murdered.
