For the debrief maybe have some standard prompts and then a set of optional/suggestive prompts. "What clues did we discover?" "What new leads do we have?" "Which clues fit together?" "How do we follow those leads?" "Who is involved? How are they involved" Etc. Depending on what you want to emphasize and what nudges you feel are most needed.
Some discussion prompts & pressure to report without a stick might fit? Am I getting warmer?
