@breadandcircuses How much of that extra energy is going into power generation for AI and Shitcoin?

Yeah! Biden's climate bill is going to increase emissions by 40% by 2030! And Trump famously has a detailed plan for how to finally cut emissions and get the country on the right track!

Oh wait I was reading that backwards

I absolutely agree with the urgency of doing much more much sooner about climate change (with the increase in oil extraction as a good example of an obvious massive problem). But picking out the one guy who's high up in government who's actually been taking successful action on the climate and saying it's his fault and we need Trump instead is clearly very weird.

@breadandcircuses A piece of paper is estimated to take a billion tons of CO2 per year out of the atmosphere by 2030.

Using Biden's record as a reason to keep pushing for more change until things actually reach an acceptable level sounds like a great idea. Using Biden's record of several standard deviations above the (unforgivably bad) US normal president, as a reason to want Trump who is several standard deviations below, is guaranteed to help murder the planet even faster. I can't believe I even have to spell it out. I thought the debate was "is Biden bad-but-obviously-better-than-Trump-goes-without-saying" versus "is Biden actually good."

@breadandcircuses How much of this correlates to reduced extraction and export in Russia?

Hihi and then people keep saying that the Democrats are the "lesser evil", when capitalist evil is all they ALL are - right like the Republicans.

Well, isn't it expected, how else would they have enough electricity to charge all those electric vehicles? If you could please also show the coal production/consumption curve it would be helpful in putting EVs under perspective.

Meanwhile Cali. is on the verge of grid collapse on all seasons due to elec.power deficits.

@breadandcircuses could you overlay with oil industry donations to politicians and their parties please? I'm sure there is a correlation
