it's not the dissolution of government as you know it, it's merciless murder followed by a fake return to normal where all the machinery keeps humming along but minorities don't have rights anymore

@saddestrobots that was a dense read, that I didnt get all the way through, so conservatives basically used violence and cheating, to put them back in top.
@saddestrobots What a hefty article in Wikipedia! I had read and heard of a number of such events throughout the South and of course the now-infamous "Race Riots" around the country. But this Wilmington massacre and the devasting coups throughout North Carolina, this is new to me. The years of these events are really not far from present day. Many living descendants surely must know of these evil events through their own family histories.
