“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”

The proposed idea of degrowth has been ignored by the neoliberal establishment for many years. More recently, they’ve ridiculed the concept as foolishly impractical or as a naive fantasy.

Now, however, they’re rolling out pro-growth economists to fight against it.

Looks like we’re starting to win. I only hope it’s not too late.

@breadandcircuses Yes: I was really surprised to see the word "degrowth" in the Irish Climate Change Assessment done by the EPA, as an example of other economic models to investigate.
