20 January 1890 | A Pole, Romuald Mańko, was born. A locksmith.

He was deported to on 14 June 1940 from Tarnów in the first transport of Poles to the camp.
No. 725
He perished in the camp on 9 November 1941.

    When did develop into the central institution of the murder of ? Why did the camp initially used for prisoners of war seem suitable to the as a place of murder? For whom were there chances of survival? What possibilities were there to resist in the extermination camp and how was it organized?
