@MaryAliciaZiff Yes, this an assault on a culture, just as you say, on a key and beloved symbol of a culture. One reason I think it deserves attention is that it shows us what’s in store for all of us if Trump is re-elected and whit evangelicals given minority control of all of us. This kind of religiosity thinks it has the right to ride roughshod over those different from its constituents.
