It's the impossible-to-find Easter eggs that make my life as a near-forever DM complete. In a recent #TalesfromtheLoop session, the map of "Emerson Middle School" I gave my players was, in fact, the actual floorplan of the school I attended 1983-1985-- John T. Baker Intermediate School in Damascus, Maryland. I didn't even tell them. It was an Easter egg for me and me alone! My games are RIDDLED with this kind of beautiful bullshit. Please tell me I'm not alone in this habit. Please? #ttrpg #genx

@pastwarranty I’ve used PCs from games years ago as NPCs - but only if no one in my current game played in the old games. I’ve even used characters that I played years ago as NPCs.

Though once I had the new group’s ship land next to their previous character’s ship at a frontier star port.

The table chatter when they realized who they were next to was hilarious. Especially since the last group had all died when their ship was destroyed… 🤣

@pastwarranty You're not. I regularly entertain myself with nods to stuff from 70s and 80s in my games.
