"If schools become integrated, people with a biblical objection to such situations will face judgement and prejudice for their desire for segregated schools"

This is how Thomas and Alito talk about gay marriage.

"If you let this exist people who think it shouldn't exist will be seen as out of step with progress. "

Just ignoring the whole telling other people how to live aspect. And there is no such thing as a "right" to have your religious ideas seen as progressive. WTF.

@futurebird raise you one, it is a whole generation who demands to be celebrated when in fact they have left the country worse than they found it. Conservatives want to go back to a differently fucked up time in a knee jerk response to "fixing" their deeply broken legacy, and that of their failed generation. Net result is negative progress either way. Thanks for highlighting these twisted thoughts!

@futurebird First, there is no Biblical basis for any opinions on schools as the Bible is silent on the subject of schools as they did not exist at the time the Bible was assembled.

Second, even if there were such a Biblical basis, that's irrelevant because America is not a Christian country where laws are based on the Bible. It's a secular country where you're allowed to practice your religion as long as you don't interfere with other people practicing their religion or their non-religion.

@futurebird Put yourself in the shoes of Alito and Thomas. If they didn't stand up for people with out of step ideas, they might have to pay for their own vacations.

@grumble209
