@pbump McConnell will be a tough act to follow. The next Majority Leader will be a strutting peacock looking to stroke Trump when not looking at their POTUS chances in 2028

@pbump American Conservatives will either have to throw the MAGA pack out of the GOP, or found a new Conservative Party - in the more or less vain hope it won't be overtaken again.

But first of all they'll have to realize that the old Reagan/Goldwater coalition isn't functional any more.
