@BeAware i remember it first coming out but i have never played it. Same with the first Resident Evil. I remember watching my mate play it and thinking not much of it. Now it is 8 games strong and i ADORE Resident Evil 7!
@BeAware RE7 was the first of the series to go first person. I think it was 2017 but covid lockdown has messed up my perception of time so much ha! It is for me the best of the series. Even without VR.
@ChildlessBambino yeah I don't have VR, So I'd be hoping that it plays well without it. Also, isn't it less Resident evil-like until a certain point where Chris shows up? I feel like I heard that most of the game doesn't show resident evil characters until later.
@BeAware this was perhaps a benefit for me. I only know RE1 from watching someone else play it. He told me this was a departure but still in the same universe. All the characters are new. My friend described it as a spin off. Completely new point of view. Completely new play style.
@ChildlessBambino okay cool. That'd be a benefit for me as well. I should play it. Might wait till Halloween season though. I like my game genres in season🤣
@BeAware when it came out in 2017-18? Im not sure haha it was a massive hit. Same with the new God of War game. But i dont really like hack n slash games.
