, the European Agency, made a cool video about the satellite.

is the Imaging Microwave Radiometer. It will fly as one of the future @CopernicusEU from early 2029. It will be a game-changer for observing and the oceans.

I have been heavily involved in the preparations for this satellite. I'll be happy to answer questions you might have about the video. Just ask them below 👇.

You could have explained the mission, but it's hard to match Craig's accent ;)

Will their findings give us even more anxiety?

Sooty, you know what I mean.

Hei @expertenkommision_cyberunfall

I know what you mean 😐 .

First, the satellite is designed to help the people and economic activities in the Arctic regions. It will help day-to-day services like weather forecasting (including winds, temperature, waves, sea ice, etc...). Safety at sea.

CIMR can also measure climate change, and this can bring anxiety. But it is important to monitor if our actions have an effect (evidence-based policies). When they have, this might bring hope?

@lavergnetho

Helping ppl to deal with more and more hostile environment, espc on sea where a hostile env is more likely to kill youmust be a good feeling.

Hope that your measures will lead to good news in terms of slowing climate change etc :)
