It’s a 1.5 mile walk from the dock to the campsite. I don’t have any true backpacking stuff so I carried my Gregory Katmai 65, SealLine kayak bag with camera stuff, and a giant soft cooler. It’s bulky and inefficient but I only have to do it twice. As I started along the path, I noticed this fox hiding in the bush. I dropped everything and fumbled the camera out of the bag. You know why the fox is grinning? He came out into the open, let me snap one photo, and disappeared into the brush.
