“Democrats calling Trump a threat to democracy is as dangerous and as much the cause for violence as Trump himself” is an utterly deranged and brutally disingenuous thing to say about the openly authoritarian leader of a radicalizing movement that has gleefully endorsed violence.
Some people say stuff like this because their brain has been poisoned by “both sides” narratives and empty “unity” gospel. Many on the Right simply understand that this kind of bullshit lets them shift the blame onto Democrats and “the Left.” Either way, it’s disqualifying.
