@jeffjarvis The NYT is doing a spiteful hatchet job on the one person capable of getting between us and fascism. The myopia involved is truly atrocious.
The reality is that if Biden drops out, Trump wins. Not because a better candidate couldn't be found, but because in many states Biden is the only candidate legally allowed on the ballot at this point. And for those for which there's any question, we all know the Trumpists will mount legal challenges that will take longer than the election.
