We moved up here in 2021, but it wasn’t my husband’s first time living in the Puget Sound. He was a navy kid and went to part of high school up here, before his dad got transferred yet again. When we first started talking about leaving California, I was like, but I’ll die in the grey, I almost died in the grey of Daly City! And he promised that there are sunny, mild places, even up here, and that he’d find them for me. And he did 🥰
Our heat wave peak temp is forecast to be 85 f, as opposed to Seattle’s 91. Even The Town, six miles away, is supposed to hit 91! @paparatti and @sollat are across the Sound, on the Seattle side, and they definitely get slightly worse weather than I do. Something about the winds here often makes a little sunny vortex right over the tip of our tiny peninsula. 100/10, husband succeeded beyond any possible expectations. (The other two locations he was scouting were both on ferry islands, which didn’t sound romantic to us anymore, so I’m doubly glad to be right here.)

I’m looking at 88 today though I have mitigating factors (north unit, trees, hill blocks morning sun). I’m probably setting up an AC today anyway because the three days after this are going over 90. :blobcatsweat:
