@GottaLaff In France we have a phone app which highlights a number I don’t recognise (and so would normally never answer) as malicious or telemarketing.

Going to be increasingly hard to tell if a chunk of speech is AI generated, so not sure how effective this is other than a charge that can be brought after it has been proven by other methods - like admissions.
@GottaLaff now if they could do more about people spoofing my phone number aside from “fill out this report”…..I always wonder how enforcement will work in systems that have such a huge footprint.

This has been going on since Bush did McCain in by circulating false stories about him in SC in 2000. And even before with Nixon’s infamous dirty tricks squad.
