An environmental catastrophe is on the horison, as Russia is sailing large and very old tankers full of hundreds of thousands of barrels of oil through the Danish straits every day, to circumvent the sanctions.

As the tankers are not insured, there is no one to pay for the cleanup, the day one of these coffin ships go down.

Pressure is now rising on the Danish government to stop the Russian oil. DW has more:

It's unfair on the Danes to be put in that position, surely all the Baltic states should be involved. They'd all be affected if one those old tankers sank or ran around.
