Have you ever gotten a crush on someone just by reading about something they did?

    MIT student pranks played on Harvard are the original 'hacks', etymologically, and everyone is erasing this important part of lexical history.

    @futurebird my mother was an MIT student and — I don’t recall all the stories she told me well enough to recount confidently, but pranking Harvard was definitely a thing in the 60s-70s too 😂😂😂😂

    @futurebird we know this is not an MIT prank because it lacks the hallmark of MIT pranks: an engineering component.

    @futurebird Wow. This is magnificent.

    @futurebird Sorry, this one is a myth, as explained in this paper. But it's still a good story!

    @futurebird how about the students who disassembled a car... and resembled it around a spike on the roof of the college?

    Seems apocryphal, from all that I can find out (MIT alum here).

    Also, Harvard stadium security is more present nowadays.

    However, a small aerial drone dragging a black & white striped cloth, playing a whistle, shooting breadcrumbs at the same time each day... that should be do-able.

    I mean, yeah, they have security. But do they have air defenses?

    "apocryphal", that is, probably not happened, but should have happened.

    It would not end well for the birds. They would be exterminated.

    @futurebird If you're a fan of this sort of thing, I recommend the book "If at All Possible, Involve a Cow" or the MIT hacks page: http://hacks.mit.edu/Hacks/
