The phone call I had went okay, but I feel wiped out by it. I think the next stage of the study is a written questionnaire, however, so that'll be easier.
It is apparently 'Dream pop, slo-mo downtempo, lush ambient, and dub bass' by one description, and a 'mutant strain of melodica dub, torched hip hop breaks, post-punk and procession song' by another.
It's very good, whatever it is. I do recommend giving it a try.
Seems lately, I'm enjoying quite a lot of things described as 'dream pop'. I'm far from certain what actually counts as dream pop, but it appears to be something up my street, so that's always welcome.
