Now everyone can see what SCOTUS does when 6 of them are appointed by the right.

What people don't understand is even if the Democrats codified abortion rights and everything most people want into law, this SCOTUS can still rule the laws as unconstitutional.

This is why people tell you to vote for the best candidate and the one who won’t appoint right wing nut jobs to courts. This all could have been averted had people done that in 2016. Please at least learn something from this.

@TonyStark

We did do that in 2016. But this absolute shithole of a country doesn’t care what its actual citizens want.

@RodneyPetersonTalent @TonyStark I disagree. The country gives americans EXACTLY what it wants. Now i know that'll piss most people off. Because it implies that what americans want is absolute destruction.

But that's the point. America does. The problem is how americans think. How we evaluate what is and isn't fair. The vast majority of america saw trump. Knew exactly who he was. And wanted to do. Then still thought it would be a good idea to give him a fair shake.

Instead of an absolute no. It was a maybe. Specifically because of the category he's in. Basically. The vast majority of america will see a straight white christian conservative male with money and instantly go....well they aren't so bad. Opening the door to whatever hell that category wants to commit.

The fun part? That category of human being has categorically, traditionally, historically been the absolute worst in america bar none. lol

So yeah. This is actually what america wants.

@Drybird227 @RodneyPetersonTalent @TonyStark The majority of Americans voted against Trump. Twice. People need to quit acting like the electoral college is equivalent to "the majority of Americans."

@cherold @RodneyPetersonTalent @TonyStark Correct. And how did trump get in anyway?

That's right. Republicans/conservatives ability to take a rule literally created to keep people like them from being able to use racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and xenophobia to win elections. To win elections. And america (a majrity white country that refuses to talk about how white privilege lets the worst kinds of white people into positions of influence) allowed it multiple times.

The electoral college was created to keep popularity in check. And it was bastardized again multiple times to do the opposite. Because emails, he cheated on her, james comey, etc. With the vast majority of electors giving the win to trump being white male and christian.

Now? Biden is too old. He lost the debate. Etc. The same road we went down toward clinton losing. Because. That's how america wants it.

@Drybird227 @cherold @RodneyPetersonTalent I don’t think it’s most of how America wants it. But people who get convinced not to vote, whose vote is suppressed or discounted (electoral college does that, too), or think both parties are the same or blame whatever else they can find besides their own actions- none of that helps. Some of that is not the voters’ fault (suppression) but a lot is.
