If you're looking for a way to capitalize on the carnage caused by SCOTUS this week, may I recommend becoming a federal trail lawyer or a federal judge. We gonna need a lot more of each of them.
@jerry I'm just an executive branch regulator. Up until last week, I thought I had the authority to make changes, but now SCOTUS says no more Chevron deference.
This is the problem with an Alice in Wonderland Court. What we thought was the rule of law today won't be tomorrow. And they can't imagine how that could create a crisis of legitimacy.
@jerry How about just taking power away from the judiciary on technical matters they don't know anything about via an act passed by congress and signed by the president?
@deskJet95 at this point, it would take a constitutional amendment, so I don't think that is going to happen.
Which means that damn near every rule that regulators promulgated now has to be litigated in court so the judge can decide, rather than professional regulators. All that is going to require a lot more lawyers and a lot more judges.
