So, does anyone in #SanFrancisco or elsewhere in #California have a recommendation for a bank or credit union that's not completely evil, and where I can open an account today that I can use to pay and get paid at least until this #Patelco incident gets resolved?
I'm "lucky" in that at least my mortgage is with them, so they can hardly complain about not getting paid today. But I have a couple more payments coming up in a few days that I really don't want to miss...
@jeffrizzo@morgan I've had good experiences with SchoolsFirst FCU. Their closest branch is in Sacramento, and I'm not sure whether you can open an account over the phone, but their member support is good. I'm partially sharing this in the selfish hope that more Bay Area people will join and they will open a branch here. They are supposedly hoping to expand to the Bay.
