In my next episode on the Ukraine war, I want to show video of an old Volkswagen. But during quality assurance I discovered, that the car I am showing has some unique lettering on the side which says:
Old speed racer since 1960
7 [iron cross] 10:21
I am not entirely sure about the meaning, and I do not want to display this, if this is something harmful.
The Iron Cross has been used in racing for a long time, similar to the one used on fighter jets. As far as I remember, this is/was a Volkswagen racing team called The Lucky Seven and the time is to remember a lap time that was unique for this VW-Bus class. Many years ago, I took part in the Hunsrück Rally with friends. We provided emergency radio with amateur radio equipment, but that was ??? 1990th ???
In the 1990s, our highway police (so-called white mice) had a special VW bus that they used to arrest speeders. A specialist company from Friedrichsdorf had converted it so that it was not recognizable as a racing car. Many sports car driver lost their composure when they were stopped by this bus. I had a 2.5V6 Steinmetz at the time and thought I was standing still when they drove past me (not as a speeder). Laughs
Gladly Randahl. ☘️ Every memory is also a little journey through time. What scares me sometimes is that you forget many faces of people you grew up with.
Given the dice on the seven could this be a reference to the Iron Cross craps method that was used to win the money for the camper...? With 10:21 being the date of the win...
