@BeAware yes and no. Mentally I differentiate the two because of experience:

On the computer I expect to be sitting at a desk looking at a screen and not anything else.

In the living room, I expect to be watching a show but since I am not “at” something (like I’d be “at my computer”) the experience becomes more holistic. I am apart of the room and a participant in the experience so everything in the room contributes to that.

So, I think the problem with flat panel TVs is that they’re bulky like furniture but decidedly anti-furniture because you end up having to mount them on a wall or set them on top of other furniture.

The experience is disjointed with a push/pull.
