But Habba is not the most experienced counsel, so instead tried to get relief after-the-fact when it was too late.
Hard to believe a self-proclaimed billionaire can't retain competent counsel. But that's what happens when you engage in self-destructive behavior during trial which no respectable lawyer would tolerate, & stiff your lawyers.
@GottaLaff Another sign of a bad lawyer - letting clients dictate trial strategy, which invariably results in embarrassment, denied motions, sanctions (as in FL lawsuit vs Hillary Clinton), and destroying any professional credibility you have with judges and fellow attorneys.
But at least Alina can put on a slinky dress for photo ops at Mar a Lago and hobnob with the rest of the MAGA elite.
