    I honestly think it's silly you'd need a license to create an adventure. More available adventures increase the value of a system or setting.

    But please give in to the urge. You can always discuss the license later, or release it for free.

    @mcv Oh, of course I intend that they'd be free. But that doesn't legally allow me to use someone's trademarks without permission, since unless I remove my name and marque, it's still "commercial" in a legal sense. And if I do remove those things, it's deceptive on top of that. 😲

    In some cases I could just ASK for permission. I doubt Steve would say no on Black Ops. Dunno about Autoduel.

    Fan content is generally allowed. But I guess it doesn't count as fan content when you're a published author?

    @mcv That's the issue. I make a living on RPG work so it can feel suspicious, like I'm pretending to be a "fan" to drive traffic.

    I've crossed the line once or twice, but it's dodgy.

    It's the same reason I can't really write reviews, unless they're gushy praise.

    @S. John Ross - old business models stick. But they all would (I think) gain from loosing up on the creating-content-monopoly.

    @katharsisdrill Oh, I'm personally in favor of the licensing-contract model in some cases. I think it depends on a lot of variables.

    I find the "abuse uninformed fanboy labor" approach of things like Miskstonic Repository or DMs Guild offensive, of course, in every possible case.

    I just spend a lot of time making adventures for warmups and don't currently have a good outlet for them. But, soon enough I will. I'm just kvetching. That cloud over there needs a good shouting-to. 😅
