I don't think the national debt actually moves voters. It's just not important to most people.
Republicans know they're lying when they pretend they care. It's a fake issue like immigration or crime. They are completely willing to use them to attack Democrats, but they don't actually care if those issues have solutions. They'll always propose to hurt the poor as a "solution" even if that fails to solve the issue.
Because they don't actually care, they just want to hurt people.
OK, this exchange has been bugging me all afternoon.
I'm sorry.
All I had to do was keep my mouth shut and enjoy the good news you shared. Less debt is good news and we should celebrate the Biden Administration's competence.
I need to tame my inner grump. You already know that the Republicans are crap and you don't need some old dude to tell you about it.
Again, I'm sorry and I'll try to do better.
Thank you for all you do, your courtroom threads are a highlight of Mastodon.
@GottaLaff We can't forget the 1 trillion dollar tax break he gave himself and all the other rich guys just for shits and giggles. Because the only thing that trickles downwards is shit not money.
@GottaLaff during the Obama administration we used to have a customer called “the debt clock guy.” He called at least 1 library a day to have them look at/print the debt at that moment. He was more interested in making a pt to the lib. Librarians than really being interested. Also- during Trump admin it was crime stats. 🤦🏼♀️
