I saw some other folks on here talking about the concept of "lonely fun" related to #ttrpgs: reading sourcebooks, coming up with campaign or character ideas, all the stuff people do for fun on their own, and that was what got me to pull out my #Discworld sourcebook.
I remembered that you can read books and think about the games you want to play & the things you would like to try, and that is part of the fun. It's ok to just enjoy stuff, even if it never materializes into a live game.
