Picture 1: Elon Musk is now pushing the conspiracy theory, that Biden wants illegal immigrants to vote, and that this is helped along by handing out voter registration forms to anyone. Musk has 188 million followers.
While that is true — anyone can download the form —
the problem with this theory is, it presumes no one checks the forms, once they are submitted.
Picture 2: In New York, the form must be submitted ten days before voting, so the state can make sure the person has a right to vote.
@randahl Ireland is bringing in a bill to control hate speech and such. Musk is right up there objecting to all of it, along with all the homophobes, transphobes, racists, misogynists, supremacists. The bill is in the Seanad [upper house] at the moment.
@randahl Yes. Though they don’t wield the kind of power the Senate in the States does. It’s a form of checks and balances and may raise concerns politicians don’t/won’t see in legislation they want to bring forward.
@randahl Anyone can write an invoice to Tesla, too. That may, in their case, in fact mean you actually get paid without any scrutiny. I say it's worth a try. 😂😂😂
