More work on the X68000 PSU. Managed to re-pin and rewire the power harness. First time ever I'm doing anything like this. The continuity seems to be OK everywhere, and there are no obvious shorts. It matches the wiring diagrams I find online.

Make your bets if it will work, or I'll end up with a very expensive Japanese paperweight. 😅 Soon we'll know. Fingers crossed. 🤞 cc: @spook

Before-After picture of the repined power connector.
The original X68000 power harness wired into the PicoPSU board's screw terminals.
And the whole contraption hooked up to the X68000. Will use an external power brick to fire up the PicoPSU first.

I plugged in the external power brick I normally use with the Atari Falcon060, that also has a PicoPSU powering it.

Some LEDs came on, and no burning smell yet! ... 😰

Red LED close up, that came on on the twin tower itself.

Holy cow! It's working! 😍 🎉 cc: @spook

Note: something is not okay with the soft power on, so I have to switch on the machine first, and then switch on the PSU. I'll investigate it later.

The "give me something to boot from" message in Japanese. :) It says (according to Google): "Unable to boot from disk. Please insert the correct disc."

@chainq @spook Crimps are looking good, and the connector is so much better now! I'll double the amount of crossed fingers
