My guess is this judge does not believe that sexual identity qualifies transgender as a legitimate sexual orientation. Based on my experience in my family, he’s made a bad call. 😞
It was challenged in federal court by four states — #Louisiana, #Mississippi, #Montana & #Idaho. The preliminary #injunction applies in only those 4 states, though similar challenges are pending in other states. Thur’s order was the 1st ruling in any of the cases.
The injunction was issued by US District Judge Terry A. Doughty, chief of the Western Dist of LA, who wrote that protecting “biological males” as if they were female subverts the purpose of #TitleIX. #law#Identity#discrimination
Doughty said the regulation was an “abuse of power” on by the #Biden admin.
“#TitleIX was enacted for the protection of the #discrimination of biological females. However, the Final Rule may likely cause biological females more discrimination than they had before Title IX was enacted,” he wrote. “[B]y allowing biological men who identify as a female into locker rooms, showers, & bathrooms, biological females risk invasion of privacy, embarrassment, & sexual assault.” [ignorance]

It’s hard for me to comprehend how an allegedly educated judge believes that transgender people are more likely to attack women in bathrooms and locker rooms than biological women.
