My Minecraft mod of witchy stuff has achieved the level of depth where I need to make a list or table to explain the feature differences between magic brooms.

(Mangrove broom go fast over water! Acacia broom is landspeeder! Oak and birch are major fliers; Oak flies better, but Birch recharges in water, for treks that include ocean).

This is probably overkill. I like that about it.

@LeviKornelsen Okay but I'm stealing this idea for a fantasy TTRPG

@LeviKornelsen Sir, this is exactly my sort of overkill. 😀 Do spruce brooms go faster in cold biomes/slower in hot ones, and jungle brooms the other way around?

Seriously, these are the sorts of results I'd love in a crafting system generally!

@pteryx - Checks spruce and jungle broom features, doesn't favour them all that much.

Well, they WILL, by this time tomorrow....

My current favourite is the Warped Wood one:

All brooms "fly" by making huge jumps with gliding and slow fall, and midair double-triple jumps, etc; they have a maximum charge for jumping.

The warped broom has no maximum on midair jumps; instead, it siphons an XP level from you for each jump. It's deeply bad most of the time, but there ARE situations....
