#Trump has signaled that #ChrisMiller, if there is a 2nd term, might reprise his role as #DefSec, a powerful post w/sway over the #Pentagon. Though Trump has not publicly endorsed the #HeritageFoundation doc, he did embrace many of their proposals at the outset of his 1st term.
In an interview, Miller said a #NationalService requirement would be “strongly considered.” He described it as a “rite of passage,” that would create a sense of “shared sacrifice”…
#ChrisMiller’s contribution to #Project2025 also advocates granting #military recruiters greater access to secondary #schools, & he’s proposed halting use of the #Defense Department’s electronic #MedicalRecords platform, which he says leads to “unnecessary delays” & “unwarranted rejections” for some people w/ disabilities or other conditions who otherwise want to serve.
@tirrimas yes. That caveat is only in reference to “people w/ disabilities or other conditions” that otherwise would prohibit service like Trump’s “bone spurs”.
But a service “requirement” applies to all who would not be excused for medical conditions.

This document is so important and it has been ignored including by the J6 House Committee. I don't know why. They lied about Charles Flynn being present when the National Guard was denied. Why? These coup plotters were never indicted. It's infuriating.

Who didn't want to overstep it? The National Guard were requested numerous times but they were stopped by Miller and, as we now know, Flynn and others. Per orders of the White House I'm sure. Also no protection was allowed for Capitol Police.
