On the one hand, Apple is poisoning their OSs with deep and ghastly "AI" integration meaning I won't be able to update OSs unless they let me turn it all off.

On the other hand, Elon Musk is having a dummy spit over it and wants to ban Apple devices at his companies so maybe it's not ALL bad.

@devopscats Yeah I have a little faith at least that they’ll do SOME things better than the others.

If I can confirm just what is being on device and what isn't, and what I give or withhold access to I might use some of the features.

(Just not the "re-write all my text" and “make me a ghastly looking image from a prompt" features.)

Update: the “AI" horse shit won't work on Intel macs, so my iMac is safe.
